NHL Announces First 32 Players for 2024 All-Star Weekend and Launches Fan Vote

In an exciting announcement today, the National Hockey League (NHL) revealed the first 32 players who will participate in the upcoming 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend scheduled to take place in Toronto from February 1 to 3. Simultaneously, the league launched the 2024 NHL All-Star Fan Vote presented by MassMutual, allowing fans to have a say in filling the remaining 12 spots on the rosters.

The initial 32 All-Stars, comprising 28 skaters and four goaltenders, were meticulously selected by the NHL's Hockey Operations Department, with one player chosen from each of the 32 NHL teams.

The All-Star Weekend will feature a total of 44 players, divided into four squads, each consisting of 11 players - nine skaters and two goaltenders. The captains, along with celebrity captains, will conduct the Tim Hortons NHL All-Star Player Draft on NHL All-Star Thursday™, scheduled for February 1.

Additionally, the league introduced the 2024 NHL All-Star Fan Vote presented by MassMutual, allowing fans to choose the final 12 All-Stars (eight skaters and four goaltenders). Voting is open on NHL.com/vote and X (formerly Twitter) until January 11, 11:59:59 p.m. EST. Fans can cast up to 10 ballots per 24-hour period, selecting between one and 12 players on each ballot.

Fans can vote online at NHL.com/vote, with interactive ballots available in eight languages. The NHL App also provides a mobile interactive ballot for fans to cast their votes on various devices.

For X (formerly Twitter) voting, fans must use the complete hashtag “#NHLAllStarVote” along with a player's full name or X handle, and only active and public X accounts will be eligible. All X votes will be combined with online vote totals.

The 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend, hosted by the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena, will include NHL All-Star Thursday™, NHL All-Star Skills™ presented by DraftKings Sportsbook, and the Honda (U.S.) / Rogers (Canada) NHL® All-Star Game.
